Mo Farah Wins Great Manchester Run 10K in Sprint Finish

Mo Farah won Sunday at the Great Manchester Run, as reported by the BBC.

Farah, competing only four weeks after finishing third at the London Marathon in a British record, won the 10-kilometer event in Manchester, United Kingdom, in 28:27. Farah took the lead with only 100 meters to go, kicking past Moses Kipsiro of Uganda.

Abel Kirui of Kenya finished third, 27 seconds back of Farah.

The women's race was won by Ethiopia's Tirunesh Dibaba, ahead of Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya. This was Dibaba's third straight win at the Great Manchester Run.
